I have recently taken up Highland Dance as a hobby, which I find incredibly fun and a great way to relax and unwind after a day at work.
As well as relaxing with highland dance, I also love to read books cuddled up with my cats – Atlas and Loki. My favourite books are romance and fantasy adventures. -

Each day is different, and is self-organised. I perform research based on organic chemical reactions that I learnt during my education, and use experience gained during previous roles in manufacturing to implement changes to existing processes that will make the cost of production cheaper and greener. I use a combination of problem solving, learnt knowledge and team work in a nurturing environment.

My Typical Day:
I wake up at about 6:30, then have breakfast and walk to work for 7:30 start. My typical day involves analysing HPLC data from the previous days work, then using the data to determine the next set of experiments. I will have lunch with my work friends and then in the afternoon, I will write up a report and then set up the experiment and run it. My day finishes at 4pm, except for Fridays where I finish at 12pm.
