Students in the November I’m an Engineer event asked questions on everything from robots to foods that aren’t solid or liquid, to ultra fast charging phones. We also got some great comments from teachers and engineers:
“Thanks a lot for all of your help and answering my questions! This has helped me a lot for school GCSE option choices!” – Hannah, student
“It was great fun and bit tense getting into work in the morning and finding a new pile of questions, knowing my answers could win or lose me votes!”
– Stevie, engineer
If you want to be a part of this, we have great news: we are running I’m an Engineer again in March, during British Science Week!
The next I’m an Engineer, Get me out of here event will run from the 7th to the 18th March 2016!
Teachers register by Sunday 24th January at: imanengineer.org.uk/teachers
Engineers apply by Sunday 24th January at: imanengineer.org.uk/engineer-apply
Teachers will get an email in January asking them to choose their classes’ zones.
Confirmed zones!
The zones are a mix of themed and general engineering zones in March, so there will be something for everyone.
- Food Zone – funded by the Wellcome Trust
- Fuel Zone – funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering
- Robotics Zone – funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering
- Surgery Zone – funded by the Wellcome Trust
- Metre Zone – funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering, this zone will have 5 engineers working in different fields.
More STEM engagement…
During the same two weeks in March we’ll also be running I’m a Scientist, Get me out of here. Read more about that here…
