For the last week, students and engineers have been engaging online in the latest I’m an Engineer, Get me out of here. Together they’ve talked about everything from qualifications needed for engineering, to the reality of robots, to what bits of school science are hard, to what engineers do in their leisure time, to being accepted as a woman in engineering. There are two different zones in the event this June, funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering: One themed on Smart Materials, and Candela Zone, a general engineering zone featuring a mix of different kinds of engineers.
